This wireless soil moisture sensor also monitors temperature, light levels, fertilizer concentration, and battery conditions. It transmits data to our GrowerNode™ Collector system, which then forwards the data to any destination host on the Internet.
All you have to do to activate the wireless GrowerNode™ sensor system is activate the included coin cell button battery and stick it into the coil - the onboard LED will flash to show that it has started transmitting soil moisture, temperature, light levels and fertilizer concentration.
The data can be kept "in-house" or sent to the cloud for remote monitoring purposes. The button battery that powers it can last for over a year, depending on how often you poll the data.
If you want a very simple setup it also has a phone app (Android, IOS) that can be used as a stand-alone platform. You can later connect multiple sensors to our GROWS Data Collector system. See more info here: Soil Moisture Sensor Website
